Four in five sixth graders in Latin America and the Caribbean struggle with basic reading skills. The COVID-19 school closures have pushed learning outcomes back over a decade, hitting children living in vulnerable areas the hardest.

It’s not just what we built—it’s how we’re building it

AnGo is an offline reading app co-designed with local teachers specifically for kids in their own communities. After eight years of training rural educators with the Teach at the Right Level method, Project Alianza joined forces with them to bring their learning activities to low-cost smart phones.
