Virtual Advocate's Trips

Virtual Advocate's Trips

Because of COVID19, we aren’t able to host our annual Advocate’s Trips, so to keep the Project Alianza family all connected, we’re hosting  Virtual Advocates Trips! Each virtual trip will open up conversations about life where we work and inspire you to think globally.

We’ve curated three “trips” to help transport you from your home to Central America.

August 20th: Understanding Migration.

This conversation will be about the documentary "Home in a Foreign Land". We highly recommend you watch the film in advance of our discussion - this will be a time for you to ask questions, bring up points from the film, or speak to your own experience and knowledge of migration.

September 17th: Real Talk: What Life is (Really) Like on a Coffee Farm

Grab your favorite cup of coffee and join us to learn all about coffee growing in Central America and how the pandemic is affecting the harvest. We will also make some suggestions for great coffee that supports communities you can get delivered to your home.

Register by clicking here and choosing September 17th from the "Select A Date" options.

October 15th: What’s happening in Education in Central America?

Did you know that there are an estimated 250 million kids across the world who won’t go back to school because of COVID? We will bring together a panel of experts to discuss the current state of education in low-income Central American communities and how we can all work together to help support kids who are most likely to drop out.
