Mary mentors girls in Guatemala

Born in a rural farming village, Mary didn’t go to school until she was 10. Today, with support from Project Alianza, she mentors three adolescent girls in rural areas of Guatemala. All three are the first in their families to attend high school.

Our people

A global team of changemakers and experts, we believe the best ideas come from people closest to the solution. We are passionate about creating a world where all children - regardless of gender or where they’re born - can reach their full potential.

"[With Alianza] every individual child is a priority. The learning is interactive, fun, and comprehensive, and I see how much the students learn. I’m confident our work as Alianza educators must continue."

Sachary Lopez

"When a child learns to read and write, they are prepared to continue their educational and professional development - they are prepared for their future."

Amalia Castellanos

Working together for education

Education promotes gender equality and combats climate change. It opens doors to better jobs and a secure future. Long-term donors like VoLo Foundation sustain our work and improve quality by investing in our women educators. Together, we’ve co-created VoLando, a training program to upskill women in climate vulnerable communities.
