In Latine culture, our recipes are passed down from generation to generation. Every family has their own recipe and every recipe is different. When you are invited to dine at someone’s house, you are taking part in tradition, culture, and generations of love and community. Recipes are changed and ingredients are added or removed as generations like or dislike certain flavors, and families share food, build community and learn of each other’s recipes. No two family’s recipes are the same. Lucy is sharing hers with you, and now they are yours to change and adjust to your flavor preference.
