What do you remember about your first day of school?

Students at Zacarias Centeno Preschool, the first school built in this community.

The excitement of a new classroom, backpack, and notebook is universal. Do you remember eating lunch with friends on the first day of school? Meeting a new teacher for the first time? Showing your parents art projects and getting help with your first homework assignments?

For the children in Project Alianza programs, their first days of school are also fun, exciting, and promising. Parents are filled with hope for a better future, and teachers are prepared to release their potential and help them take their first steps in an education. Your donations have given the first pencils, notebooks, and classrooms they need to begin a life of learning.

By donating today to the #GiveFirst campaign, you are joining an alliance of advocates for education.

Together we are empowering the underserved children in the remote coffeelands of Central America to attend their first day of school, sit at their first desk, read their first book, and receive their first A.

Please donate, share, and #JointheAlliance.
