Shaun Bamforth is a Boston native and real estate entrepreneur, who joined the Project Alianza team because of his passion for building organizations that focus on tangible community impact. Shaun co-founded two youth-oriented non-profits, served as an executive board member for two more, and founded a youth organization that provides opportunities for athletes, where he is now the vice president. Shaun brings years of non-profit governance and management experience to the Project Alianza team.
Shaun is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management, and currently works as Director of Marketing and Business Development at SourcedCapital.
Katie Basbagill is a human rights advocate, with ten years of experience as a media strategist and photojournalist. She partners with organizations around the globe, improving media communication and dissemination of international justice issues. Katie was thrilled to join the Project Alianza team, and a short stint in Nicaragua intensified her passion for the work. She believes in the mission of Project Alianza and the power of on-the-ground partnerships for implementing sustainable change.
Katie is the founder of Bohemian Red Images, and is pursuing a MA in Peace and Justice Studies at The Kroc Institute at University of San Diego.
Jessica Holly is a Kentucky native and nationally recognized artist, with over 10 years of experience in higher education and communications. She joined the Project Alianza team because of her passion for creative education, community development and social impact. Jessica currently assists many nonprofits and other community projects through various volunteer roles, advocating for many local and state issues, while also maintaining a fine artist presence. Jessica’s true interest is innovative strategy and human centered design, which she brings to the Project Alianza team.
Jessica has a MA in Design Strategy + Innovation from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and a BA in Studio Art from Berea College. She currently works as Digital Media Manager for Communications and Brand Management at Eastern Kentucky University.
Lauren Hunter is a believer in developing high-quality, impactful programs through rigorous research. She is committed to the use of known best practices in Project Alianza’s educational and health programs. As a senior management engineer at Henry Ford Health System, Lauren manages population health management and process improvement projects. Lauren has prior experience at RAND, managing and designing complex health care research projects, and at the Council on Foreign Relations, researching global health systems.
Lauren has a BA in Political Science from Yale College and an MPH in Health Policy and Administration from Yale School of Public Health.
Wiles Kase is a environmental and economic analyst, with experience in sustainable development in Latin America. Currently, he focuses his work on policy evaluation, providing policymakers, like the EPA, with an economic analysis of environmental policy alternatives. Wiles also serves on the Board of Directors of Woza Soccer, a youth-oriented non-profit that connects American and African soccer players, while supporting local partners in Africa. Wiles would like to develop travel opportunities and experiential education in Project Alianza's programs for the community.
Wiles received a BSc in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in economics, from Yale College.
