We are currently seeking professionals and students who are passionate about social media strategy and outreach. This is an unpaid position requiring 8-10 hours per week.
Our offices are in the Innovation and Design Building at MassChallenge which means there are A LOT of early phase startups to meet, and the best new restaurant in Boston (Chickadee - yum!) is just an elevator ride away. You will work directly with Kristin Van Busum, our founder and CEO, and liaise via phone with other team members who are dispersed throughout the United States and Latin America.
We ask that you come to the office for a minimum of four hours a week one day per week (we can be flexible on days). You can also attend events on behalf of Project Alianza or work more hours in the office to take advantage of the free space! During office time, you will prepopulate posts for upcoming weeks, do PR outreach, work on strategic planning, develop content, and have a one-hour check-in with our founder to discuss progress and next steps. Your independent time will focus on improving the consistency of our online presence.
Create a social media strategy based on our existing calendar for 2019; use Hootsuite to prepopulate posts.
Lead PR outreach and advertising campaigns as needed. Specifically, we are leading a campaign on March 8 for International Women’s Day and need YOU to make waves through our channels and outreach to relevant influencers.
Increase our following and engagement on Instagram and Twitter. This includes proactively seeking out and maintaining communication with users and followers to improve outreach.
Research top influencers to engage them in our various campaigns.
Create timely and engaging content optimized for platform used and intended audience.
Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities.
Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect client and their brand.
Continue to refine and define our social outreach process.
Identify and develop opportunities and PR connections for Project Alianza to be used as a resource for public relations (print, online, speaking, consulting).
